Deal: Weihs for Otani Friday, August 26th , 2011 San Francisco and Chicago have agreed in principle to a trade. The Peanuts will send 21-year old minor league LHP Brian Weihs and 23-year old minor league RHP Rick Krug to the Blackhawks for 31-year old RHP Kosho Otani. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete. Up to now Otani has compiled an ERA of 3.28 with a 5-6 mark over 15 starts. He has 88 strikeouts in 90.2 innings and has held opponents to a .243 batting average. |
