PBC Player of the Week Named Monday, July 4th , 2011 27-year-old Jesse Lovecchio sent shock waves through Professional Baseball Circuit last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Professional Baseball Circuit Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Lovecchio made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .438 average, 7 hits in 16 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 RBI. Where the Atlanta Pilots right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Lovecchio certainly made his mark last week. This year, Lovecchio is batting .333 with 15 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 14 times and has batted in 13 runs. |
