Lions Hammered by Wilder, Fall Further Behind in CQ
Riding the 3-hit performance of designated hitter Shane Wilder, the Washington Warriors flattened the St. Louis Lions, 12-4, in Game 3 of the Cup Qualifier. Wilder was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Warriors, who now lead 3-0 in the best-of-7 series.

With two out in the top of the ninth, Bob Luallen barreled up a fastball from Jon Flores. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Warriors in front, 12-4.

"We aren't quitting," St. Louis manager Leo Cruz said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Lions Hearth in St. Louis.
