Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Sun Sox beat the Knights.

Los Angeles got a big-time effort from pitcher Bill Salden, but it wasn't enough to keep the Miami Sun Sox from winning the game, 5-4. Salden threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Steve Rossi got credit for the save for Miami. It was his 3rd of the year.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Ken Lundy came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Los Angeles pitcher Brent Farwell, he hit a 1-2 curveball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Miami on top, 4-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Lundy said after the game.

Miami, with the win, sits at 17-34.
