In a tight tilt between the Tampa Bay Thunder and the Philadelphia Keystones, Dave Miller was the deciding factor. The Tampa Bay right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The Thunder, at 35-16, lead by one game in their division.
Kengo Miyake had a big 2-run home run for the Thunder in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from Xavier Rodriguez, who is tied for 7th in the PBC with a 1.11 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Thunder on top, 3-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Miyake said after the game.
