The El Paso Diablos defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, 9-5. Right Fielder Ian Hoch deserved a large share of the credit. Hoch went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Diablos. El Paso now owns a record of 32-36.

With El Paso leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Hoch hit a changeup from Willie Espinoza for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Diablos ahead, 3-0.

"Nice win for us," said Hoch. "Now we'll go after the next one."
