Boston registered a win at Shamrock Grounds by beating the Chicago Blackhawks, 7-4. Pitcher Chris Phillips was one reason why the Shamrocks triumphed. The winning pitcher was Phillips, now 5-4. He tossed 9 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 6 and fanning 10. The win puts Boston at 24-21 this season.

The Shamrocks got a big at-bat from center fielder Mike Woolridge. For the game, Woolridge went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Boston a 5-4 lead.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Woolridge.
