Philadelphia Earn 5-2 Victory at Shamrock Grounds

Philadelphia Keystones starter Ron Ingram hurled his team past the Boston Shamrocks, 5-2. Ingram got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. David McGovern closed it out for his 2nd save.
Andy Steele had a big 2-run home run for the Keystones in the top of the third inning. With Philadelphia leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Mario Sanchez, who finished 3rd in the PBC in strikeouts with 162 in 2006, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Keystones ahead, 5-0.
"Ron is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson.
Philadelphia, at 17-27, holds down 5th place in the North Division.
