Cutthroats Get Thrilling 9-8 Win
Well, that's how to end a game in style.

The Denver Cutthroats needed 11 innings to beat the Detroit Motors, 9-8, at Cutter's Cove. The win was due in part to catcher Alfredo Negrete, who went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Denver reliever Eric Kolbe picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Erik Ringer took the loss.

The Cutthroats got a clutch hit from second baseman Aaron Cotton. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cutthroats.

"This place was rockin'," Negrete said.

The Motors, now 14-26, have lost 4 in a row.
