|
Thanks in large part to catcher Billy Souders, the Boston Shamrocks beat the Las Vegas Aces, 5-4. Souders was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up his 5th save was fan favorite Darwin Harvey. The Shamrocks now have a mark of 21-18.
Boston used the hitting of Damani Moreno to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Shamrocks on top, 2-0. For the game, Moreno had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We found a way to get it done," Moreno said.
