The Denver Cutthroats defeated the Detroit Motors, 7-5, in 11 innings. Gary Payer led the way, going 3-for-5 for Denver. The Cutthroats saw their win-loss record go to 23-15. At the same time, the Motors fell to 14-24.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Payer hit a cutter from Keith Higdon for a 2-run home run. The Cutthroats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Payer. "But we got it done."
