Miami Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The game between Miami and New York City is in the books, despite a little rain.

The Miami Sun Sox found a way to sneak past the New York City Blues, 3-2, in 12 innings. Miami pitcher Tony Shrum, for one, had a standout performance. The win belonged to Steve Rossi in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kevin Phillips took the loss for New York City.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ken Lundy in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Phillips to win the game for Miami. The home crowd went nuts.

"We were in it," said New York City manager Kurt Schull. "We just didn't score enough runs."

Miami is now 14-22.
