Though he had a terrific game, Aaron Thomas could not prevent his team, the Chicago Blackhawks, from absorbing a loss. New York City won the game, 7-5. Thomas went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Earning his 5th save for New York City was Bubba Ostendorf. New York City now has a record of 15-15 with the win.

The Blues got a big at-bat from left fielder Ryan Burns. For the game, Burns was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season gave New York City a 4-0 lead.
