Knights Get Past Chicago for 4-3 Win
|
Chicago got a terrific performance from pitcher Kosho Otani, but it wasn't enough to beat the Los Angeles Knights. Los Angeles won the Trident Field contest, 4-3. Otani threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Los Angeles starter Eric Parchman was credited with the win after throwing 112 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 3-2. With the win, the Knights improved to 10-12.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Jose de Castro to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Knights on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
After the game, Los Angeles manager Nigel Laverick applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
