The El Paso Diablos faced a tenacious opponent in Los Angeles pitcher Steve Estrada, but still scratched out a win at Inferno Field by a final score of 6-5 in 10 innings. Estrada went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. El Paso pitcher Landon Griffith got the win, upping his record to 1-0. David Gandarilla got the loss. At 9-5, the Diablos have played well so far.

The decisive blow was delivered by Chris Ring in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 29-year old right-handed pitcher David Gandarilla to win the game for El Paso. The home crowd went nuts.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Ring.
