With Late Score, Shamrocks Beat Blues
|
Boston Shamrocks starter Zach Hoelzer turned in a top-notch performance against the New York City Blues at Shamrock Grounds. The result was a win for the Shamrocks, 2-1. The victory makes Boston 8-6.
The decisive blow was delivered by Zachary Bailey in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 29-year old right-handed pitcher Bubba Ostendorf to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Bailey.
