Peanuts Improve to 9-3 with 3-1 Win
The San Francisco Peanuts got a marvelous performance from pitcher Radi Barrett. The right-hander kept the Los Angeles offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-1 San Francisco victory at Garibaldi's Grounds. Barrett, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. Ze-dong Phan earned the save for San Francisco, his 4th.

In the top of the ninth, Jason Fallon stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Knights were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Ze-dong Phan made a terrific pitch and Fallon grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Los Angeles comeback.

San Francisco, now 9-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.
