Hernandez Top Choice, Wins Pitcher of the Year Award Tuesday, November 2nd , 2010 A sparkling 4-5 mark for the year just about says it all -- that's what Bruce Hernandez of the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder put up this season. That's why the PBC Rookie Complex League rated him the #1 hurler in the league and named him the 2010 Pitcher of the Year Award winner. He held opposing clubs to a .225 batting average and compiled a 2.23 ERA. Hernandez stood out with 155 strikeouts while giving up 94 hits and 24 walks in 109 innings. He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 18.
