Aces Dominate, Sweep Cup Qualifier Wednesday, October 6th , 2010 It's a sweet sweep for the Las Vegas (R) Aces and they have won the Cup Qualifier. The Atlanta (R) Pilots were not able to keep pace with the Aces and dropped the series in short order, losing, 10-7, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Atlanta (R) manager Jason Stevens. It's now on to the Championship Cup for Las Vegas (R) after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was catcher Julien Laurent, who was named MVP. For the series, Laurent hit .500 with a .571 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Las Vegas (R) Aces don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Denver (R) Cutthroats - Detroit (R) Motors series. Detroit (R) leads the series 2 games to 1.
