Aces Alfaro Suffers Injury Saturday, October 2nd , 2010 Juan Alfaro is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Las Vegas (R) organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 11-12 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. The 19-year-old reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Atlanta (R) Pilots. For the year, Alfaro has collected 1 save in 35 relief appearances. He has also rung up 67 strikeouts and 27 walks in 60 innings while registering a 4.20 ERA and a 7-5 won-lost mark. |
