Aces Stop Mangrum at 33 Monday, September 27th , 2010 The streak has been snapped. Noah Mangrum failed to get a hit in today's game against the Las Vegas (R) Aces, bringing his 33-game hitting spree to an end. The 19-year-old Los Angeles (R) shortstop was 0-for-4, but the Knights got the win and defeated the Aces, 1-0. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Mangrum said. "I got to 33 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" This year, Mangrum has 7 home runs and a .357 batting average. |
