Mangrum Hits in 33 Consecutive Games Saturday, September 25th , 2010 Noah Mangrum has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Los Angeles (R) shortstop picked up 3 more today against the San Francisco (R) Peanuts and now has a 33-game hitting streak. The Knights won the game, 4-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Noah Mangrum flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 10th. This season, Mangrum is batting .361 with 7 home runs. He has scored 54 runs and driven in 42. |
