Mangrum Has 30-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, September 22nd , 2010 Noah Mangrum, shortstop for the Los Angeles (R) Knights, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 30 games with 2 hits in his club's 4-3 victory over the San Francisco (R) Peanuts at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Noah Mangrum hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Akke Nienhuis in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. So far this year, Mangrum is hitting .356 with 7 home runs. |
