Thwaites Strokes 5 Hits Monday, September 13th , 2010 It was nearly a perfect day for Rob Thwaites at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Although the Denver (R) Cutthroats center fielder was sensational at the plate, collecting 5 base hits in 7 at-bats, it just wasn't enough to keep the Cutthroats from falling to the Dallas (R) Texans. Dallas (R) spoiled his great day at the plate by winning the game, 10-9. Rob Thwaites flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jose Castellanos in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jose Castellanos in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, struck out in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Teodor Zablocki in the 13th. Thwaites is hitting .319 this year with 15 home runs and 36 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .396, 16 walks and scored 37 times. View Boxscore View Game Log |
