Vanden Burg Wins ABC Batter of the Month Friday, October 1st , 2010 Kyle Vanden Burg put together a good September to earn the Amateur Baseball Circuit Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Providence officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Grays first baseman posted a .410 batting average with 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Vanden Burg is hitting at a .360 mark this season. His stats show 14 home runs, 67 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He has played 88 games for the Grays. |
