Yuma Eliminated from Playoff Contention Tuesday, September 21st , 2010 It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the Yuma Gnomes. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign. "You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Gnomes starting pitcher Jamie Stewart. This is the 4th time in a row that the Gnomes have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2006. |
