Year Over for Oilers Newberry Wednesday, September 15th , 2010 Playoff hopes of Oilers player Danny Newberry have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the starting pitcher suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in today's game against Brooklyn Atlantics. Newberry is expected to miss up to 12 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. This season, Newberry has fanned 91 in 72.1 innings and collected a 5-2 record with a 2.61 ERA. |
