Winnipeg Wins Division Championship Series Thursday, October 7th , 2010 The Winnipeg Buffaloes triumphed 6-3 over the Vacaville Steelheads at Goldeyes Park in the Division Championship Series to capture it 4-1. The victory advanced the Buffaloes to the SPBC Classic Series. For his superb play in the series, Buffaloes third baseman Kent Beaton garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .421, scoring 6 runs and batting in 5. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the SPBC Classic Series," Beaton said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Winnipeg Buffaloes don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Ottawa Capitals - Detroit Chargers series. Ottawa leads the series 3 games to 2.
