Detroit Narrowly Wins Central Division Friday, October 1st , 2010 Say what you want about the Detroit Chargers and their abilities on the baseball diamond. Nobody can question their ability to celebrate a division title. The music was loud and the adult beverages were flowing tonight as the Chargers officially clinched the Central Division. "You concentrate so hard on winning the division, so it's nice to finally be here and be able to enjoy it," said closer Steve Arthur, whose championship t-shirt was drenched. "It's probably going to be a long night." Detroit clinched the division with a record currently sitting at 54-34. It is the 1st division championship in team history and will give the Chargers the opportunity to go for their 1st Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit championship. |
