Wild Card Clinched by Winnipeg Friday, October 1st , 2010 The manager of the Winnipeg Buffaloes is reminding the city of Winnipeg to "keep the faith" as the team heads into the playoffs as a wild card team. "We believe in ourselves and we need our fans to believe in us too," said Matt Bryant. "We know we can get Winnipeg rocking with a great run in the playoffs." It remains to be seen just how deep the Buffaloes will be able to go in the playoffs, but confidence appears to be high. "We've got the team to win a championship, I firmly believe that," said first baseman Nate Spalding. If the team is successful, it would be the 3rd Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit championship in franchise history. |
