Ottawa Rookie Pitcher Wins in September Friday, October 1st , 2010 Despite his newness to the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit, last month Avery Brumfield put up solid numbers and claimed the Rookie of the Month Award. In September the Ottawa starter went 4-1, tossed 42 innings with 31 strikeouts and held the opposition to a .186 average. If Brumfield continues at this pace, he will certainly have a long and profitable Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit career. So far this season, Brumfield has a record of 11-7 with 95 strikeouts and 68 walks in 132 innings and a 3.00 ERA. |
