Chris Kayser Bashes Three over the Wall Monday, September 27th , 2010 It was a good day for the Winnipeg Buffaloes and an exceptional one for Chris Kayser. The 33-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Buffaloes beat the Saskatoon Moose, 12-3, at Moose Grounds. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Kayser said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 3 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Chris Kayser hit a solo-shot off Izaiah Sanders in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Izaiah Sanders in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off C.J. Messer in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This season, Kayser is batting .278 with 94 hits, 17 home runs, 49 RBIs, .378 OBP and has scored 60 runs. |
