Zavitz SPBC's Best of the Week Monday, September 27th , 2010 Vancouver fans have something to crow about today as Vancouver right fielder Andrew Zavitz nabbed the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Zavitz. He posted a .545 average (12-for-22) this past week with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs, and 8 runs scored. Thus far this season, Zavitz has hit .334 with 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 55 times. |
