Ottawa Deals Golden to Newark for Fulton Tuesday, August 31st , 2010 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Capitals announced today the acquisition of 35-year old C Andy Fulton and 24-year old minor league 1B Mark Goode from the Newark Eagles in exchange for 24-year old minor league 1B Bobby Golden. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Capitals, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." This season, Fulton has posted a batting average of .194 with 30 hits in 155 at-bats, 8 home runs and 18 RBIs. He has also scored 18 runs, walked 24 times and compiled a .319 OBP. |
