Done Deal: Hernandez for Wells Saturday, December 4th , 2010 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Vacaville. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Vacaville Steelheads general manager shook things up by acquiring 40-year old RHP Josh Bartell and 24-year old 3B Chase Wells from the Sherbrooke Canadians for 32-year old LF Ruben Hernandez, 21-year old minor league C Jose Ortiz, 24-year old minor league RHP Chris Condon, and 23-year old SS Mike Brown. "We're a better team now," Steelheads general manager William Barrickman said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." |
