San Francisco's Ottens Selected Outstanding Rookie Tuesday, November 9th , 2010 Today the Professional Baseball Circuit announced the winner of the 2010 Rookie of the Year Award. The top-ranked rookie was the talented San Francisco shortstop Austin Ottens. The 25-year-old Peanuts newcomer took the trophy by hitting .310 in 88 games this season and finished with 110 hits, 10 home runs, 47 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 18. Andres Hernandez of the Boston Shamrocks finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Paul Silver of the New York City Blues finished third with 4 first place votes.
