Best PBC Reliever Named Sunday, November 7th , 2010 Diego Rodriquez of the Tampa Bay Thunder proved this season that age is just a number, as the 34-year-old relief stud turned in a season that was better than all his Professional Baseball Circuit peers.
"Winning the Reliever of the Year Award at age 34 is something I didn't really expect, but I'll take it," he said.
Rodriquez's strong season saw him fashion a 0.72 ERA through 37.1 innings. He had 26 saves in 31 relief appearances and also put up 49 strikeouts and 10 walks. Opponents hit only .172 against the tough reliever.
