Sunday, November 7th , 2010
Diego Rodriquez of the Tampa Bay Thunder proved this season that age is just a number, as the 34-year-old relief stud turned in a season that was better than all his Professional Baseball Circuit peers.

"Winning the Reliever of the Year Award at age 34 is something I didn't really expect, but I'll take it," he said.

Rodriquez's strong season saw him fashion a 0.72 ERA through 37.1 innings. He had 26 saves in 31 relief appearances and also put up 49 strikeouts and 10 walks. Opponents hit only .172 against the tough reliever.

He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 18. Zeke Smothers of the Tampa Bay Thunder finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Mike Green of the Denver Cutthroats finished third.
