Pilots Won't Get Playoff Berth Thursday, September 23rd , 2010 Postseason baseball won't be coming to Atlanta this year. The quest for the playoffs ended for the Atlanta Pilots today, as they were mathematically eliminated from contention. "Not the first time I've experienced this," said Pilots manager Andrew Scharbach, "but it never gets fun." The Pilots have missed the playoffs 9 times in their 11 years as a Professional Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 6th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2004. Atlanta last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2004. |
