Baird Hurls Blues to Shutout Victory Monday, August 23rd , 2010 It was a smooth and solid performance by Matt Baird of the New York City Blues against the Detroit Motors. He crafted a fine 1-hitter to blank the Motors, 3-0. He chalked up 4 strikeouts and 2 walks along the way. "It certainly makes my job easy when my pitcher tosses a shutout," said New York City skipper Kurt Schull. "I can just sit back, watch and enjoy."
