Ottens on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Thursday, August 19th , 2010 Today at The Motor Yard, Austin Ottens tore up Motors pitching, but the Peanuts still came up empty. Detroit whipped them, 6-5, despite his best efforts. The San Francisco shortstop hit for the cycle with a 4-for-5 day and collected 4 runs batted in and scored 1 run -- but to no avail -- his team lost the game anyway. Austin Ottens hit a two-run triple in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bryan Smith in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
