Peanuts Lose By a Run at Denver
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Denver Cutthroats and San Francisco Peanuts.
Denver registered a win at Cutter's Cove by beating the San Francisco Peanuts, 2-1. Pitcher Jon Lund was one reason why the Cutthroats triumphed. Luke Dickerson nailed down his 4th save.
The Cutthroats got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tim Martin. For the game, Martin went 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Denver a 2-1 lead.
"This team keeps racking up the wins," said Cutthroats manager Rich Callaghan.
At 9-1, the Cutthroats have played well so far.
