The Ottawa Capitals took down the Detroit Chargers by the score of 6-5 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Division Championship Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Ottawa starter Jose Garcia, who threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball.

Ottawa used the hitting of Luis Vizcarra to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Capitals on top, 5-2. For the game, Vizcarra had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Said Ottawa manager Justin McKelvin: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
