The Winnipeg Buffaloes got a great start from 35-year-old right-hander Andy Taylor, as Winnipeg won the contest, 7-2, at Ballpark of Vacaville. Taylor threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs in the win, which knotted the best-of-7 series at 1-1.

Winnipeg used the hitting of Dave Fisher to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Buffaloes on top, 2-0. For the game, Fisher had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Winnipeg manager Matt Bryant.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Goldeyes Park in Winnipeg.
