Cotton, Cutthroats Wallop Shamrocks in Game 4 of PS
The Denver Cutthroats and the Boston Shamrocks will take the Play-in Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Cutthroats beat the Shamrocks, 12-2, at Shamrock Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Denver second baseman Aaron Cotton went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4.

Denver used a clutch at-bat from Gary Payer to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cutthroats ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Boston manager Matt Mays said: "We'll rinse this one off and get ready for the next game."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cutter's Cove in Denver.
