Play-in Series Game 1 Victory for Steele and Denver
|
The Denver Cutthroats started the Play-in Series in style, downing the visiting Boston Shamrocks at Cutter's Cove by a score of 4-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Cutthroats left-hander Jesse Steele threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball.
Steele threw well for Denver, thwarting the Boston offense. The left-hander tossed 95 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.
"Jesse made some good pitches in some situations he needed to make them in," said Denver manager Michael Edelman.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cutter's Cove in Denver.
