At Vegas Stadium, the Calgary Caracals and Las Vegas Rollers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Las Vegas Rollers downed the Calgary Caracals, 4-1, at Vegas Stadium. Stellar pitching by Tom Clifton had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the with a 1.07 WHIP, handcuffed his opponent all game. Clifton, now 8-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Danny Beasley, who finished 5th in the in wins with 11 in 2006, nailed down the save.

Jimmy Rinehart aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 3.

Rinehart told a Las Vegas Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

Las Vegas goes to 47-34, Calgary to 39-42.
