The Allentown Fleetwings defeated the Albany Senators, 5-3, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Senators Field. Allentown pitcher Ken Zimmermann had a standout performance. Zimmermann got the win, improving to 3-5. He gave up 2 hits and walked 4 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Allentown is now 34-47, while Albany is 39-42.

Wayne Grove had a big 2-run home run for the Fleetwings in the top of the third inning. With Allentown leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from Charles Leyshon, who is tied for 5th in the in wins with 9, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fleetwings ahead, 4-0.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Grove told the Allentown Citizen.
