Detroit Edges Winnipeg, 2-1, Martin Ks 10
|
Justin Martin, who is tied for 8th in the with a 2.95 ERA, never let the Buffaloes get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Chargers to a win, 2-1. The wins continue to add up for Detroit. The latest makes it 10 in a row.
Though he didn't earn the victory, Martin kept his team in the game until the bullpen took over and the Detroit offense came through. Over 7 innings, he allowed 1 hit and 1 run, while striking out 10.
"Everything was on," said Martin.
