Blackhawks Lose, 6-4, in 15
|
The Boston Shamrocks overcame a pretty good performance by Chicago left fielder Joe Scott, beating the Blackhawks, 6-4, in 15 innings. Scott went 5 for 7 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chicago's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
The decisive blow was delivered by Andres Hernandez in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Musser to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Shamrocks manager Matt Mays.
