Pickens Performance to No Avail in 11-8 Thunder Loss
Tampa Bay right fielder George Pickens had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-8, to El Paso at The Thunder Bowl. Pickens belted 3 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 5. Earning his 1st save for El Paso was Landon Griffith. El Paso raised its record to 39-37 with the win.

El Paso used the hitting of Zack Taylor to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Diablos on top, 7-5. For the game, Taylor had 2 home runs and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
